I thought you might like to know that my two dogs are enjoying The Light as they get to see more of me when I am sitting at the computer tapping away or chatting on the phone.
It gives me no pleasure to tell you that both they and I have put on weight in the past few weeks so I am thinking of changing the name of the paper to The Heavies as the three of us sit here gaining pounds!
Thank you all so much for the emails and phone calls about last month’s paper and how important The Light is to you. It helps me to hear what you are thinking when I am making decisions about the placing and positioning of articles and the overall feel and flow of the paper. Many of you this month have expressed that “The Light is special” and because the area is not directly covered by TV or radio this paper is the eyes and ears of our community.
I have also met people who have been coming to the shoreline for many years and never heard of The Light. So you are a mixed bag out there and just like everywhere else in the world it takes all sorts. Please continue to let me know what makes you tick and I will try to tick all the boxes.
Now I could be very British and talk about the weather or I could be very Canadian, look out the window at the rain and say “ah well, it’ll change in half an hour!” But I’m not going to – I am going to get on with some more work.
