TATAMAGOUCHE: The Can Skate annual Skate-A-Thon held on Monday, Jan. 25 was a huge success. The North Shore Rereation Centre was full of energy and enthusiasm thanks to the many businesses and groups who donated prizes, money and time to the event.
Special thanks go to the Scotiabank group which helped make this year’s Skate-A-Thon our most successful yet. Not only did they match the total pledges earned by the skaters and community, but they also donated their time to help during this event.
The CanSkaters were very pleased to see so many participants with them on the ice. Seven teams participated with the CanSkaters, program assistants and intermediate skaters. The adult skating group entered three teams. Other teams consisted of representatives from Mon Repos Day Spa, The Village Florist, The North Shore Recreation Centre and Fulton’s Pharmacy.
Fulton’s Pharmacy also deserves special recognition for their generous contributions.
The Tatamagouche Skating Club would like to send a big thank you to the community and family members who continue to support the club in every way.
